Day 38 - towards the next mountain
Wed am; leaving Ponferrada for Villafranca for a flat day. Tomorrow we start climbing towards O Cebrerro, the last mountain between us and Santiago. Galicia and its unpredictable weather are ahead as are the crowds of the last 100 km of the journey...

Hey kids...will be cheering you on from Las Vegas for the next week. We've a new baby grandson. Little Brandon was born on April 30th, weighing in at 8lbs 2 oz. We've been viewing daily pics, but are looking forward to oddles of cuddle time starting tomorrow night. Will follow our Las Vegas/Grandbaby visit with a side excursion to California to visit with my dad....and an overnight or two in Napa, natch. We'll be thinking of you and your renewed appreciation for "il dolce far niente" (the sweetness of nothing).
