Today John had a new experience: he joined the nationwide protest of the flow of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants from the South and our Government's impotent response to the lawlessness on our southern border. Because today was a workday, the protesters were primarily older, retired people. The drivers on Interstate 395 responded with friendly waves and honks of encouragement to the older protesters. Altogether an encouraging start to making our voices heard in the national debate over who controls our borders.
