Bubbly on the Patio

We are in the midst of our re-siding project...moving forward rapidly!  This evening we decided to celebrate the new siding with bubbly on the patio in anticipation of many more celebrations to come as we bring the garden back...

Our Renovation

Well, a year ago we were fancy-free on the Camino with nothing to worry about but getting rained on. Now we have started the first of several renovation projects on our Annandale house with new siding being first up.  After nearly 29 years it was time to frasen up the exterior.  

The Final Act

Got our last storage shipment on 30 April in the rain. Our last dealings with "Move by Army" after 37 years since my first Army move in 1977.  For being in storage for 10 1/2 years, most stuff came out ok with only two stained pieces of furniture which the movers will try to have cleaned.  And we were reunited with old friends we had long missed as well as stuff we forgot we had!!

Cold in Milwaukee

A year ago we were cold on the Camino in Spain and a year later we were in cold and windy Milwaukee on Lake Michigan. Our visit to our friend Sister Angela in Waukeesha was very enjoyable.  The hospitality of the Schoenstatt Sisters in the US was just as welcoming as in Germany.  Pix from Lake Michigan and the famous Steny's Bar!

More Snow

Yesterday was sunny and we were confident there would be no snow.  Oh well.  Looks like two inches and still coming. Roads are clear so I can mail my taxes!

On the beach ... Again

Well, we are still putting the house together but that's no reason to avoid a road trip.  Friends invited us for a long weekend at Corolla on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Still pretty cold here and beach is windy and peaceful.  Back to Virginia on Wednesday am.
