30th Wedding Anniversary in Arizona

Today was our 30th wedding anniversary.   We are here in Green Valley where it all happened 30 years sgo... But it does not seen that long.  Most of the elder generation with us that wonderful day have gone ahead to wait for us on the far shore, but many of you dear friends and family remain.  We give thanks daily for your love and support over the moves, jobs, travels, children, and so many adventures of the past 30 years- most recently the Camino and Paris! Thank you all for being our friends.  

Back to Arizona, and Las Vegas, and...

After a whirlwind month of renovation, contracts, a wedding and travel to New Jersey and girls' travel to California and then working around our house, we decided it was time for a break.  So we are enroute to Arizona with a car trip to Las Vegas and Utah while we are there.  John's cowboy hat is coming home after being out of place in Virginia and Grrmany!  First pix is rather good view of the Mall as John took off from National Airport today.

Godzilla in comfort

Saw Godzilla movie at AMC theater with new reclining seats.  Very comfortable!  Godzilla movie is pretty amazing.  

On the road again...

We are in Morristown for wedding of Brianna ( & Brian) daughter of old friends, Linda & Jay Ward.  This is the home of The Seeing Eye, the school for seeing eye dogs.  You see the dogs training on the streets here watched over by this statue of the first seeing eye dog, Buddy.

Bubbly on the Patio

We are in the midst of our re-siding project...moving forward rapidly!  This evening we decided to celebrate the new siding with bubbly on the patio in anticipation of many more celebrations to come as we bring the garden back...

Our Renovation

Well, a year ago we were fancy-free on the Camino with nothing to worry about but getting rained on. Now we have started the first of several renovation projects on our Annandale house with new siding being first up.  After nearly 29 years it was time to frasen up the exterior.  

The Final Act

Got our last storage shipment on 30 April in the rain. Our last dealings with "Move by Army" after 37 years since my first Army move in 1977.  For being in storage for 10 1/2 years, most stuff came out ok with only two stained pieces of furniture which the movers will try to have cleaned.  And we were reunited with old friends we had long missed as well as stuff we forgot we had!!
