Easter in Paris when it's frozen

Went to Easter mass at La Madeline with our Germany & Parisian friends, the Boatwrights. Notre Dame was standing room only, but we like the elegant liturgy and choir of La Madeline much better. Paris is still COLD! Back to Germany on Monday for the last week of employment ... still much to do.

Pilgrim Lesson One

We prepositioned our Paris luggage in our friends' garage, just outside of town yesterday. Pic attached. Rented a station wagon and it still was not big enough. So, lesson one of our pilgrimage: some things you have to leave behind...

Next Steps - Packing Out

Started the pack out Monday and should start loading today and finish Thursday.  Our nearly 5 years in Katzweiler are ending. Moved into a transient apartment last night which will help us organize to move baggage to Paris on Saturday.  

Disaster averted

Dodged a bullet on the Hegira this week. Originally the Alliance could do student visa. Now we must do ourselves. Probably my error. Anyway have appointment at FR consulate 4 April, with visas a few days later. Schedule pushed to right a week. Will be good for extra training.

Snow, Snow, Snow...

Snow in Germany... Trish returned from cat transport trip to Seattle and found this! One car shipped; one sold; one to go!
